Sailfish Point’s Talented Director of Golf
Mike Demakos joined Sailfish Point Golf Club as Director of Golf in July 2025. A PGA Certified Professional in Instruction, he brings more than two decades of experience at some of the nation’s most prestigious clubs. Most recently, Mike spent 17 seasons as Head Golf Professional at Nantucket Golf Club, where he directed golf operations, instruction, tournament programming, and merchandising. Under his leadership, the golf shop grew to exceed $1 million in annual sales, earning the Association of Golf Merchandisers’ Platinum Award for 13 consecutive years. His background also includes positions at Augusta National Golf Club, Bel-Air Country Club, and East Hampton Golf Club, where he gained deep expertise in operations, instruction, and member services. A graduate of Ferris State University’s Professional Golf Management program and former member of its men’s golf team, Mike has mentored more than 50 PGA professionals who have gone on to leadership roles across the industry. He looks forward to sharing his passion for the game, merchandising excellence, and member engagement with the Sailfish Point community.
